Students moving into Years 10, 11 and 12 have a range of pathway possibilities that they can choose to be involved in. You could take part in courses at South West TAFE from Year 10 onwards, in vocational areas such as automotive, cookery, building construction, childcare and retail beauty. You could also follow a vocational pathway in VCE which could involve weekly workplace learning or becoming a school based apprentice. You could also choose to study a wide range of VCE subjects that could lead on to studying at university or at TAFE after Year 12 is over.
Our school focus in years 10, 11 and 12 is to help you get ready for the world of work, training, or employment after secondary school. Along the way, you will get to be involved in Year 9 Morrisby careers profiling, Year 10 mock job interviews and work experience, Year 11 work experience in a city setting and Year 12 preparation for university and TAFE applications, as well as preparing for employment after Year 12. Some students participate in Passport 2 Employment and Mr Gordon will be able to assist you as our school careers advisor.
We rely on strong connections with local employers, training organisations and employment organisations to help you find the best pathway after secondary school is finished.
