In addition to learning in usual classes, students in Prep to Grade 6 participate in extra-curricular programs and workshops. These include:

• P-2 students participate in “The Responsible Pet Ownership” program every year. This program teaches us how to live safely with dogs and how to be responsible pet owners. We also use Victor and Victoria’s Learning Hub to reinforce the messages in the program.
• P-2 students celebrates 100 days of school each year with a fun day at school. We complete a variety of tasks that focus on the number 100 and usually celebrate by decorating cupcakes.
• P-6 students take two weeks of swimming lessons at the Hawkesdale Swimming Pool with instructors from Jayson Lamb’s Splash Factory. These lessons provide us with the opportunity to develop water safety skills, enjoyment in the water and to learn the appropriate skills to develop correct and adequate swimming technique.
• P-6 student participate in Daniel Morecombe Foundation Child Safety lessons including “Australia's Biggest Child Safety Lesson” in September. In 2022, the lessons focused on having brave conversations and talking about boundaries and private/public body parts.
• Across the primary and secondary schools, we like to celebrate and commemorate special weeks over the year such as: NAIDOC Week, Book Week, Science Week, Reconciliation Week, Literacy and Numeracy Week.
• We also mark special days such as: World Kindness Day, Harmony Day, ANZAC Day, Remembrance Day, Clean Up Australia Day, Ride to School Day, Sorry Day, National Simultaneous Storytime and the annual Hawkesdale Fleece Show.
• All primary students are involved in our biannual school production performing in class dances and have the option to enrol in private weekly instrumental music lessons with Melanie.
